“Straying Far From Myself”
By Pema Choezin (Female)
My hometown, my grasslands
I am wandering in the distant corners of the earth
All my life
I cannot measure the distance between you and me with my eye
Now, in your tranquil period
Would you know, in the red dust
How far I have strayed from myself

“Straying Far From Myself”
By Tashi Dhondup
Since the falling of the first snow
The thoroughfare in front of us
Has faded gradually under the guise of the snow
Like a whitewash
Reaching out both my hands
Trying to seize the silhouette of winter in the void
Opening up my palms
Snow still rhymes like a light dance
However, my soul
Has been drifting around in the chilling air
Tracing the heroic scene of the ancestors riding horses in the blizzard
In the wind and snow, my proud and aloof soul
How far have I strayed from myself
